Job Description

Working for our Operations team, you will be responsible for developing and supporting case management solutions aimed at addressing functions such as investigative case management, safety management, and human capital functions including employee and labor relations, reasonable accommodation, alternate dispute resolution, performance management, and onboarding.

You will be involved in all phases of the project lifecycle including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support. The role involves delivering, enhancing, and maintaining case management solutions for federal agencies based on Tyler Technologies’ Tyler Application Platform (TAP), utilizing Java EE platform.

A successful candidate will be able to effectively research and troubleshoot issues, recommend and deploy solutions in a professional manner, and manage multiple client projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

  • Apply Agile methodologies with Java EE platform to design, develop, maintain and enhance enterprise solutions and reusable utilities.
  • Configure and customize core application components including forms, data objects, security, searches, and workflows to support customer requirements.
  • Deploy solutions with required configurations and customizations.
  • Identify and implement functions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide timely resolutions or workarounds.
  • Document instructions and procedures for operation and maintenance of delivered solutions.
  • Prepare and maintain Technical Design Documents.
  • Provide technical knowledge transfer to customers and internal teams.
  • Interface directly with clients to provide application support, bug fixes, enhancements, and manage expectations.
  • Participate in requirements gathering sessions to understand customers’ current and future business processes.
  • Support pre-sales activities including identifying future/add-on service opportunities and helping maintain customer relationships.
  • Maintain awareness of contractual obligations, hours, and billing requirements.
  • Continuously learn new technologies and share knowledge with team members.
  • Assist with onboarding and mentoring new team members on processes and technologies.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. citizen and T3 clearance eligible.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in progressively responsible IT consulting or software development roles.
  • Understanding of and experience with all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • 3+ years of hands-on development experience with Java, JavaScript, and SQL.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Experience with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle, including writing stored procedures.
  • Experience with several of the following technologies:

    • XSLT
    • SOAP/RESTful Web Services
    • Web/Application Servers
    • XML
    • HTML
  • Experience designing and developing technical solutions to address business problems.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
  • Experience working with business and IT stakeholders to gather and document technical requirements.

 

Additional Information

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with one or more enterprise case management platforms such as Tyler Application Platform (TAP), Appian Case Management, or Pega Case Management.
  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) Java Developer/Programmer certification.
  • Experience configuring and tuning application servers such as Tomcat, JBoss, and WebLogic.
  • Consulting experience across diverse technologies and business environments.
