As an Architectural Metals Estimator on the Major Projects and Architectural Team at Jones, you will play a key role in developing accurate cost projections for high-profile projects across the United States, including professional sports venues, casinos, convention centers, and large-scale commercial developments. In this role, you will analyze bid documents, architectural drawings, and conceptual designs to produce precise estimates and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver successful outcomes.

Duties and Expectations:
- Prepare project estimates by reviewing and analyzing RFP’s, blueprints, specifications, and related documentation.
- Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates, including labor, and materials.
- Create Bills of Materials (BOM) for assigned projects.
- Identify potential risks related to scope, cost, manufacturability, and installation, and communicate findings effectively.
- Gather and analyze data to resolve discrepancies and ensure estimate accuracy.
- Obtain and evaluate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Complete bid forms, qualifications, and supporting documentation per the RFP.
- Present estimates and cost strategies in bid reviews and production meetings.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal teams, clients, architects, designers, contractors, and vendors.
- Conduct ongoing research on labor costs, materials, and industry trends to support estimating accuracy.
- Continuously enhance technical knowledge through training, industry resources, and professional development.
Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Associate’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of estimating experience in commercial construction preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction principles and ability to read architectural drawings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
