This role is focused on growing Thermo Fisher Scientific's Environmental & Process Monitoring business within the rapidly expanding data center industry. As a segment specialist and commercial leader, you'll be positioned as a trusted advisor helping govt bodies, hyperscalers, integrators and customers comply with evolving environmental monitoring standards through utilizing our advanced monitoring technologies.

What Success Looks Like

The successful candidate will:

  • Develop strategic relationships with hyperscalers (AWS, Microsoft, Google, Meta), colocation providers (Equinix, Digital Realty, QTS), Govt bodies, utility providers, EPC contractors, Integrators, and major electrical OEMs.

  • Understand and influence Govt policies and regulations, identify and monitor ingresses and emissions, and other asset monitoring concerns that can directly impact data center uptime.

  • Sell consultatively by connecting technical monitoring solutions to business outcomes such as reliability, compliance, uptime, reduced risk, and lower operating costs.

  • Build a healthy pipeline through prospecting, networking, industry events, and strategic account development.

  • Collaborate across sales, product management, marketing, and technical support to win complex opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of B2B sales experience in life sciences, pharmaceutical, or related industries

  • Preferred Fields of Study: Life Sciences, Chemistry, Business, or related field

  • Professional business or sales training certifications valued

  • Demonstrated achievement of sales targets and development of new business opportunities

  • Strong understanding of CDMO/CRO services and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes

  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills with ability to engage executive leadership

  • Experience in complex deal structuring and strategic account management

  • Proficiency with CRM systems (especially Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Strong analytical and financial acumen to assess market opportunities

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building capabilities

  • Ability to travel up to 50% for customer meetings and industry events

  • Experience working in a matrix organization and collaborating across functions

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

  • Adaptability in a responsive, evolving environment

  • Additional language skills beneficial for international territories

The Ideal Candidate

Beyond the stated requirements, Thermo Fisher is seeking someone who can demonstrate:

  • Strong commercial acumen with a hunter mentality.

  • Domain expertise and credibility speaking with Govt bodies, hyperscalers, facility managers, integrators, and operations leaders.

  • Experience navigating enterprise sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.

  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into measurable business value.

  • Existing relationships within the hyperscalers, colocation providers, utility and OEM providers, and data center ecosystem.

  • Comfort operating independently in a remote, high-travel environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $116,300.00–$191,975.00.
