Verisk's ISO Commercial Lines General Liability Product Development group is looking for a highly motivated Commercial General Liability Product Development Team member who will conceptually and technically develop new and revise existing insurance programs in response to the changing business environment.
This role requires competency in coverage analysis, including development of language to build new or enhance existing General Liability, Commercial Excess and Commercial Umbrella products. Previous experience in Underwriting or Product Development on these lines is a must. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, curious and resourceful, possessing the ability to research and present information, ideas and concepts to internal and external audiences. You will collaborate with our product strategy leaders and compliance experts to react to emerging trends and crate new insurance products and related information.
The better we know our customers, the better we can serve them. Customer focus will guide all aspects of your work. This includes presenting topics at the General Liability Panel meetings, attend in-person and remote meetings with client companies and participate in efforts to develop new educational materials that support our clients and our lines of business.
As part of a small staff of line-of-business experts, you will:
• Have an active role in the organization and development of General Liability, Umbrella and/or Excess Liability multi-state filings.
• Develop panel agenda topics as well as coordinate, contribute to, and present these items at panel meetings with our customers.
• Facilitate legal and actuarial review of product changes and enhancements, as necessary.
• Foster client engagement through relationship-building efforts. Coordinate in-person visits and teleconferences to share knowledge about and to gain client input on Verisk products and services.
• Work closely with and leverage the Emerging Issues Solutions Architect and compliance experts to develop industry leading solutions for emerging trends, issues, and concerns.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5-10 years P&C insurance experience with strong knowledge of coverages in Commercial General Liability and Commercial Liability Umbrella/Excess required, including knowledge of the insurance market, industry and competitor trends for these lines.
• Experience in analysis and development of policy form language and multistate filings is required.
• Proven research and analytical skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with presentation experience.
• Experience building internal or external customer relationships that focus on gaining actionable insights and forming collaborative partnerships with the goal of innovation, product improvement, or ease of use.
• CPCU, other industry designations, or law degree a plus.
• Some travel may be required (up to 15%)
